Ru-Ir coated Titanium Anode for Chlor-alkali Industry
DSA anode replaced graphite anode in the Chlor-alkali industry due to its excellent electrochemical performance. This DSA type anode chooses titanium as the preferred metal for the substrate since titanium forms a spontaneous protective titanium oxide layer that prevents the substrate from electrolyte attack and does not exhibit significant resistance to the current flow. Regarding the electrocatalytic material, the selection of ruthenium oxide attempts to improve the stability of the coating, the addition of titanium oxide as a stabilizer of the metal oxide.
