Iridium Tantalum Coating MMO Anode for Pipeline Systems Cathodic Protection

Iridium Tantalum Coating MMO Anode for Pipeline Systems Cathodic Protection

MMO anode is comprised of a commercially pure titanium substrate with a mixed metal oxide catalyst sintered to the titanium substrate in a thermal decomposition process. The catalyst combines iridium oxide (IrO2) and tantalum oxide (Ta2O5). When a solution of the coating is cured in the oven to convert it to solid oxide, part of the titanium from the substrate diffuses into the matrix forming an integral bond between layer and substrate. The process requires temperature profile control and the amount of catalyst gained. The catalyst is applied in multiple steps until the desired loading is achieved.

UTron had provided iridium tantalum coating MMO anode for pipeline systems cathodic protection with 50 years’ operating life, below is some parameter for reference:
Anode material: Titanium in Grade1;
Coating: Iridium tantalum oxide;
Service life: 50 years;
Test report: Needed;
Application: Pipeline systems cathodic protection;
Export country: Bahrain.

The MMO anode UTron manufactures is distributed current uniformly over the whole length of the pipeline; it Avoids interference and stray current problems; it ensures low resistance ground bed all the time. It is fast, easy, and cost-effective installation; has long continuous circuit lengths and lower maintenance costs. With over 16 years of production experience and expert professional technical background, their products have been exported to 62 countries in the whole world and enjoyed a good reputation.
