Ruthenium and Iridium Coated Titanium Anode for Salt Water Electrolysis

Ruthenium and Iridium Coated Titanium Anode for Salt Water Electrolysis

The seawater electrolysis anti-fouling technology is useful to prevent marine fouling in the seawater pipeline system. Metal oxide coated titanium anode is extensively used in seawater electrolysis due to its good performance over traditional anodes such as graphite and lead-silver alloy. Electrocatalysts ruthenium and iridium (RuO2-IrO2) demonstrate high activity together with considerably higher stability in chlorine evolution reaction in comparison with other anodes. This leads to the development of mixed ruthenium iridium oxide (RuO2-IrO2-SnO2) coating.

UTron had provided ruthenium and iridium coated titanium anode for salt water electrolysis to their customer in the Philippines, below is some parameter for reference:
Anode material: Titanium;
Coating: Ruthenium iridium oxide;
Coating thickness: 3.5 microns;
Operating life: 2 years;
Application: Saltwater electrolysis;
Export country: Philippines.

UTron is an excellent coated titanium anode factory in China; with over 16 years of production and research experience of MMO coated titanium anode, they can custom the anode service life, MMO coating, dimension, etc to suit the specific working condition of the customer. They can provide lead dioxide coated titanium anodes, platinum coated titanium anodes ruthenium iridium coated titanium anodes, iridium tantalum coated titanium anodes, and other mixed metal oxide coated titanium anodes. During the past decades, their anodes have been used in water treatment, electroplating, cathodic protection and electrowinning fields and enjoyed a good reputation among their clients.
